Non-resident requirements

International founders can now start their company using Dappr. Please note that receiving all the necessary documents is a longer process without an SSN or ITIN.

IMPORTANT! If you're an international founder, please read this entire article.

Non-citizen residents

Non-resident should not be confused with non-citizen. No restrictions or requirements apply to non-citizens residing in the United States for as long as you have an SSN or ITIN.

Eligiblility criteria

The following requirements currently apply to founders that are not U.S. residents:

  1. Residing in an eligible country.

  2. U.S. address to be used as home and mailing address (e.g. Virtual address).

  3. SSN, ITIN, or an ID issued by your home country.

Note that if you don't have an SSN or ITIN, you are most likely ineligible to obtain one for the sole purpose of starting a company. Therefore, Dappr can file an SS-4 document with the IRS on your behalf. You will need to verify your ID in order for us to complete this process. When you are asked to provide the ITIN/SSN, click the "I don't have an SSN/ITIN"-button and follow the instructions.

Timeline

If you don't have an SSN or ITIN, the process of obtaining the necessary documents necessary to become operational will take significantly longer due to IRS processing delays. It may take 10-12 weeks to complete this process
