Choosing the right plan

Dappr offers three business formation packages: Basic, Essentials, and Pro. Each package comes with different features and levels of service to suit various business needs. Let’s have a look.

Basic package

The Basic package is the most affordable option, ideal for entrepreneurs who want a straightforward business formation service without ongoing subscriptions.

What’s Included in the Basic Package?

The Basic package provides everything needed to officially register a business with the state. It includes:

  • Business Formation Filing – Dappr prepares and submits your formation documents to the selected state.

  • State Fee Handling – The required state filing fee is collected and remitted on your behalf.

  • Standard Processing – Orders are processed in the order they are received, without expedited handling.

  • Dappr Financial Account – If eligible, the business can open a Dappr Financial Account, which includes a business checking account and a Visa card.

What’s Not Included?

The Basic package is a one-time purchase and does not include additional compliance services or faster processing. Specifically, it does not include:

  • Expedited Processing – The Basic package follows standard processing times. However, customers can add expedited processing at checkout for an extra fee.

  • Registered Agent Service – The Basic package does not include a registered agent. If one is required, it must be purchased separately.

  • Annual Report Filing – Customers are responsible for tracking and filing their own state-required annual reports.

  • Other business features: Accounting software and invoicing system.

Who Should Choose the Basic Package?

The Basic package is a great fit for:

  • Self-sufficient business owners – If you’re comfortable handling ongoing compliance requirements, such as annual report filings and registered agent services, the Basic package provides an affordable way to get started.

  • Businesses that don’t need fast processing – Standard processing is sufficient if you’re not in a hurry to get your business registered.

  • One-time formation needs – If you simply need to form a business without any extra features or support, the Basic package is the most cost-effective option.

  • Those on a tight budget – Since there’s no annual subscription, the Basic package is the best choice for entrepreneurs looking to minimize upfront costs.

When Might the Basic Package Not Be the Best Fit?

If you need faster processing, compliance support, or registered agent services, you may want to consider the Essentials or Pro package instead. The Essentials plan includes expedited processing, while the Pro plan offers the fastest service and adds compliance features like automatic annual report filing and registered agent service.

Dappr’s Basic package is ideal for business owners who prefer a no-frills, one-time formation service. It covers the essentials needed to register a business while keeping costs low. However, for those who want additional compliance support, faster processing, or ongoing assistance, an upgraded plan may be a better fit.

Essentials plan

Dappr’s Essentials package is designed for entrepreneurs who want more than just business formation. It includes faster processing, compliance support, and access to Dappr’s built-in business tools, making it a great choice for those looking to streamline their operations from the start.

What’s Included in the Essentials Package?

The Essentials package builds on the Basic package by adding key features that help businesses operate more efficiently. It includes:

  • Business Formation Filing – Dappr prepares and submits your formation documents to the state.

  • State Fee Handling – The required state filing fee is collected and remitted on your behalf.

  • Expedited Processing – Essentials orders receive priority processing within Dappr’s system, reducing the time it takes to get your business registered.

  • Dappr Financial Account – If eligible, the business can open a Dappr Financial Account, which includes a business checking account and a Visa debit card.

  • Dappr Accounting – Essentials customers get access to Dappr’s built-in accounting software, which helps manage finances, track expenses, and generate financial reports.

  • Dappr Sales – This feature includes invoicing, quotes, and point-of-sale (POS) capabilities, making it easy to bill customers, accept payments, and manage sales.

  • Compliance Monitoring – Dappr helps track state compliance deadlines, so you don’t have to worry about missing important filings.

What’s Not Included?

While the Essentials package offers significant advantages over the Basic package, it does not include:

• Registered Agent Service – Essentials customers must purchase a registered agent separately if required.

• Annual Report Filing – Dappr provides compliance reminders, but filing the annual report remains the customer’s responsibility unless added separately.

• Rush Processing – While expedited processing is included, it does not guarantee the fastest possible turnaround (Rush processing is available only in the Pro package).

Who Should Choose the Essentials Package?

The Essentials package is ideal for:

  • Entrepreneurs who want faster processing – If you want your business formed sooner rather than later, expedited processing ensures your filing is prioritized.

  • Business owners who need invoicing and payment processing tools – Essentials includes Dappr Sales, which makes it easy to generate invoices, send quotes, and accept payments.

  • Companies that want built-in accounting software – With Dappr Accounting, you can track business expenses, categorize transactions, and generate financial reports without needing separate software.

  • Those who need compliance support – Essentials helps you track deadlines and stay compliant, making it easier to manage state filing obligations.

  • Businesses that don’t need registered agent service included – If you already have a registered agent or plan to serve as your own, Essentials offers flexibility without the added cost.

When Might the Essentials Package Not Be the Best Fit?

If you want the fastest formation processing available, Rush processing is only included in the Pro package. Additionally, if you need a registered agent service included or want annual report filings handled automatically, the Pro package is a better fit.

Dappr’s Essentials package is a smart choice for business owners who want faster processing, compliance tracking, and access to essential business tools like invoicing and accounting. It’s a great middle ground between the Basic and Pro packages, providing the features that most small businesses need to operate efficiently.

Pro plan

Dappr’s Pro package is the most comprehensive business formation plan, designed for entrepreneurs who want the fastest processing, full compliance support, and advanced business tools. It includes everything in the Essentials package plus registered agent service, automatic annual report filing, and nexus monitoring, making it the best option for businesses that want to stay compliant with minimal effort.

What’s Included in the Pro Package?

The Pro package offers priority processing and full compliance management, along with advanced tools for business operations. It includes:

  • Business Formation Filing – Dappr prepares and submits your formation documents to the state.

  • State Fee Handling – The required state filing fee is collected and remitted on your behalf.

  • Rush Processing – Pro orders receive the highest priority within Dappr’s system, significantly reducing the time needed to register your business.

  • Dappr Financial Account – If eligible, the business can open a Dappr Financial Account, which includes a business checking account and a Visa debit card.

  • Dappr Accounting – Access to Dappr’s built-in accounting software, allowing you to track expenses, generate reports, and manage finances seamlessly.

  • Dappr Sales – Includes invoicing, quotes, and point-of-sale (POS) features, enabling easy payment processing and sales tracking.

  • Registered Agent Service – A registered agent is included at no extra cost, ensuring your business stays compliant with state requirements.

  • Automatic Annual Report Filing – Dappr automatically prepares and files your annual report with the state, helping you avoid penalties and late fees.

  • Compliance Monitoring – Pro customers receive ongoing compliance tracking to stay on top of state deadlines.

  • Nexus Monitoring – Exclusive to the Pro package, this feature helps businesses track state tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions. If your business expands, sells online, or operates in multiple states, nexus monitoring ensures you stay compliant with state tax laws.

What’s Not Included?

The Pro package covers nearly all aspects of business formation and compliance, but it does not include:

  • Ultra Rush Processing – In some states, faster Ultra Rush processing is available for an additional state fee.

  • Industry-Specific Compliance – While Pro provides compliance tracking and annual report filing, it does not cover industry-specific licensing or regulations.

Who Should Choose the Pro Package?

The Pro package is best suited for:

  • Entrepreneurs who want the fastest possible processing – With Rush processing, your business formation is prioritized for the quickest turnaround time.

  • Businesses that need full compliance support – If you want automatic annual report filing and a registered agent included, Pro ensures you never miss an important deadline.

  • Companies that operate in multiple states or sell online – Nexus monitoring helps track tax obligations in different states, which is critical for businesses with interstate operations.

  • Business owners who want invoicing, sales, and accounting tools included – With Dappr Accounting and Dappr Sales, you can manage finances and accept payments without needing third-party software.

  • Those who prefer a hands-off approach to compliance – Pro minimizes administrative work, so you can focus on running your business instead of worrying about filings and deadlines.

When Might the Pro Package Not Be the Best Fit?

If you’re on a tight budget and only need business formation without compliance services, the Basic or Essentials package may be better suited. Additionally, if you already have a registered agent or prefer to handle annual reports yourself, Essentials may be a more cost-effective option.

Dappr’s Pro package is the best choice for entrepreneurs who want fast processing, full compliance management, and advanced business tools. With Rush processing, registered agent service, automatic annual report filing, and nexus monitoring, Pro ensures that businesses stay compliant while giving them the tools they need to operate efficiently.
