ID Verification

To ensure security, compliance, and fraud prevention, Dappr requires all users with access to a Dappr Financial Account or an approved cardholder role to verify their identity. This includes:

  • Legal representatives

  • LLC members and managers

  • Employees and other stakeholders with a Dappr account

By implementing Plaid’s secure ID verification system, Dappr ensures that only authorized individuals can access financial services, manage funds, and act as cardholders.

How the ID Verification Process Works

Users required to verify their identity must complete the following steps:

  1. Scan a Government-Issued ID

    • Users will be prompted to upload a clear photo of a valid, unexpired ID (passport, driver’s license, or national ID card).

  2. Take a Real-Time Selfie for Facial Matching

    • Plaid’s system will compare the selfie to the ID photo to confirm the identity of the individual.

    • This step prevents impersonation and ensures that the person using the account is the rightful owner of the provided ID.

  3. Match Details Against Databases

    • Plaid will compare the submitted information with government and financial databases to detect fraud or inconsistencies.

Who Needs to Verify Their Identity?

Identity verification is mandatory for:

  • Legal representatives forming a business through Dappr

  • All users with access to a Dappr Financial Account

  • Anyone approved to be a Dappr cardholder

  • LLC members and managers who have access to financial services

  • Employees and other stakeholders using a Dappr account

Security and Compliance

Dappr’s identity verification process follows industry-standard encryption protocols and meets Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. The verification process is fast, encrypted, and typically completed within minutes.
